New Energy Fast Frequency Response System (Primary Frequency Regulation)
The RE-778 new-energy fast frequency response device is primarily used in new-energy power stations to implement active power-frequency droop control. Based on the real-time system frequency, it enables rapid adjustment of active power output, thereby equipping the connection point with the capability to participate in fast frequency regulation and ancillary services for the power grid.
As the penetration rate of new energy power plants continues to rise, the inertia of the power system will gradually decrease, and the system’s frequency regulation capability will progressively weaken, seriously threatening the safe and stable operation of the power system. However, the application of new energy systems with rapid frequency response enables new energy power plants to participate in power system frequency regulation, effectively addressing this challenge.
Basic technical indicators:
Frequency modulation dead zone: Wind farms: ±0.03 Hz to ±0.1 Hz; photovoltaic systems: ±0.02 Hz to ±0.06 Hz
Frequency modulation limiting: When the system frequency falls below the rated frequency, new energy power plants shall increase their active power output according to the primary frequency regulation curve. The magnitude of the primary frequency regulation power change is...
The limit setting should be no less than 6% of the operating power.
When the system frequency exceeds the rated frequency, new energy power plants shall reduce their active power output according to the primary frequency regulation curve, and the magnitude of the primary frequency regulation power change shall be limited.
Should be no less than 10% of the operating power.
Frequency modulation and difference rate: 2% to 10%
Frequency Modulation Dynamic Performance: Wind power: Lag time ≤ 2 s; Rise time ≤ 9 s; Settling time ≤ 15 s; Regulation deviation ±1% of rated active power.
Photovoltaics: Hysteresis time ≤ 1 s; rise time ≤ 5 s; settling time ≤ 15 s; regulation deviation ±1% of rated active power.
